About the Journal

The Aglaophenia Scientific Journal (JIA) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research on aquatic ecosystem science, biodiversity, and the sustainable management of aquatic resources. It places a special emphasis on research originating from or relevant to the tropical and Indo-Pacific regions.

The journal publishes original research articles, short communications, and review papers covering, but not limited to:

  • Aquatic bioecology and biodiversity

  • Freshwater, estuarine, coastal, and marine ecosystem dynamics

  • Coastal and small island resource management

  • Aquatic environmental quality, pollution, and ecotoxicology

  • Conservation biology and ecosystem sustainability

  • Molecular and genetic approaches in aquatic organisms

  • Ecosystem-based resource assessment and management

Studies employing spatial analysis and geospatial technologies (remote sensing and GIS) as analytical tools in aquatic research are also welcome.

All submitted manuscripts must demonstrate clear relevance to aquatic systems and contribute to scientific understanding and sustainable resource management.
